摘要：Megacities in the Asian countries are located either in the tropical or subtropical areas with monsoon and the infrastructures in their countries are facing with the serious problem of deterioration due to high humidity and strong sunshine compared with those of developed countries in North America and Europe. Furthermore, the facts that needs for infrastructure services in these countries are growing and diverse, and that the most of infrastructure provisions are vulnerable to disasters, and that varieties in socioeconomic background make the problem very complicated, have arisen the strong necessity of asset management of infrastructures. However it is very important to understand the deterioration mechanism and their prediction in the asset management, so that the environmental factors such as corrosive environments for steel structures are under investigation as the international collaborative research including the anti-corrosion measures such as paints and metal sprays. This lecture summarizes the outline of joint research and the prospect of research outcome. In addition, as an example of the assessment for steel bridge health condition, the corrosion damages in bolted connection of steel bridges and its remaining capacity are discussed.
